About

The definition of holistic is relating to the idea that things should be studied as a whole and not just the sum of their parts. An example of holistic is health care that focuses on the health of the entire body and mind and not just parts of the body.

My Personal Journey

Becoming a holistic and child advocate came into being in 1994 when my first child sat with me at the age of 6 while we were watching tv, and compared her brain to the commercial that came on.

The commercial was a static tv, a remote control was changing the station looking for a clear channel, my daughters words to me were “ I wish I had a remote control for my brain,.” She was describing to me that her brain was static and she couldn’t get a clear picture, she wished a remote control could make things clear just the like the tv. It was heartbreaking to hear her say this and I knew this was not right.

We took the steps to get her evaluated by a doctor and behavioral specialties to see what was happening, it would be a very long road ahead for all of us. During this time the child advocate from her school that we were working with told us that from this moment on, we were going to be her “advocate“ that responsibility goes all the way through her school years.

Holistic Way of Life

It was trial and error finding what works and what doesn’t for children vs adults. I was determined that our daughter would not be a statistic for children with ADHD/ODD, a zombie, not eating due to pharmaceutical pills the Dr. prescribed. There was a lot to learn and how to raise a healthy well rounded child with discipline. I was led to information at http://www.CHADD.org CARES Act And Protecting Educational Rights of Students With ADHD.

Personal Life

Husband and I have been married since 1988, we have lived in 16 states and visited all but 5, so we moved a lot, lol.

When I delivered our children, I gave birth naturally working with midwives delivering a healthy girl and boy. It was the best decision I could have made using midwives. Midwives have a level of compassion that goes above and beyond. Our children are grown and we have 3 grandchildren from our daughter, its amazing to watch as a grand parent.

I miss having my children at home, I’ll  never forget the difficult transition for me as they left the nest to start their own lives. It was one of the hardest changes I have endured, extremely proud of the independent adults they set out to become.

Life Changes

This is a new season as a mother and wife, its scary shifting roles but know that your life’s meaning does not end when our birds leave the nest, I could write a whole book on that process alone!

Work life took a change to the virtual in 2008 propelling me into becoming a VA (virtual assistant) creating social media sites and content creation for Authors and Lifestyle Coaches. I have always been a techie person so it came naturally to me, this online way of doing business.

Spiritualpreneur coaches from spirit, implementing spiritual with business.

I received my certificate in Feb of 2013 from the “Coaching from Spirit Institute” Sharon Wilson. I have had the great honor of working with “Spiritually Intuitive” Woman such as Dr. Lisa Reed and Sharon Wilson using spiritual and holistic principles, turning tragedy into transformation by tapping into and utilizing your intuitive abilities to help you reach the next level in life.

A bit about my passions!

I am a animal lover and advocate who wants our planet to thrive and I will be a part of the solution and not the problem.

Blessings to you and all that you do!
