Cedar is offered to the sacred fire during sweat lodge ceremonies, burned during prayers and, when boiled, can purify indoor air and be used for cedar baths.
As a tea, it can help to reduce fevers, rheumatic symptoms and relieve symptoms of chest colds and the flu.
How To Prepare Tea
• Collect cedar leaves
• Boil water – strain after 20mins and bring back to boil, then let sit til warm to taste.
• Add sweetness- your choice honey is best.
*Do not consume more than 3 cups per day. Cedar is high in vitamin C
